Lorenzo Marchisio

My own site: one page for three kinds of work, a gallery of 132 photographs, and this studio page. Quick on a phone, nothing to click through.

The brief

Before

A single page from 2025 with a link to my CV. Nobody could see the photographs, and nothing on it said I build websites for other businesses.

What was built

  • One page a visitor reads top to bottom, engineer, founder and photographer, with no menu to learn
  • A gallery of 132 photographs that opens in about a second on phone data
  • This studio page, with the prices in the open and a form that reaches my inbox in seconds
  • No cookie banner, no adverts, and nothing following visitors around

Inside the site

  1. One page, no menu to learn

A visitor lands and gets the whole story in one scroll: the engineering work, the websites I build for other businesses, and the photographs. Nothing hides behind a menu, and there is no page to come back from.

The bar at the top lights up the part being read, so someone always knows where they are and can jump straight to the part they came for.

The engineering part of the home page, with four short principles listed on the left and a dotted brace pair drawn on the right.
  2. 132 photographs that open like text

Pictures are the slowest thing on most websites. Here the grid shows small versions first and fetches the full photograph only when someone opens it, so the gallery appears in about a second, even on phone data away from wifi.

Visitors can narrow it to motorcycles, football, Slovenia or Croatia without the page reloading, and every photograph carries my name in the corner.

The photo gallery page, with the heading EVERY FRAME, a frame count, subject filters and a grid of photographs.
  3. Prices in the open, before anyone has to ask

What each package costs, what it includes, how the work runs and the questions people actually ask are all on this one page. Someone can decide whether to write to me without sending an email first to find out the price.

Every price is kept in one place, so the cards, the answers under them and what Google shows can never drift apart. The form reaches my inbox in seconds, and the junk is dropped before it gets there.

The packages and prices section of the studio page, with four packages side by side and what every package includes underneath.
  4. Easy to find, and quiet about its visitors

Every page is finished before anyone asks for it, so it opens quickly wherever the visitor happens to be, and search engines can read all of it: the right title on each page, the right description, nothing left out of the list they crawl.

No cookie banner, no adverts, nobody else watching who came by. There is nothing to accept, and nothing kept beyond what a person types into the form.
